Pick Scrunch if you want a published price, a no-card trial and seven engines with agent monitoring from $300 a month: it's the most capable tool you can buy without a sales call. Pick Profound if you're an enterprise team that wants nine engines, ChatGPT Shopping, prompt-demand data and an AI marketer that drafts the work. Both combine prompt tracking with AI agent analytics on every plan (Peec AI does too, from $95, with fewer engines).

The differences that matter
Published price
Scrunch's pricing page shows Starter at $300 a month (350 custom prompts, 1,000 industry prompts, 3 seats) and Growth at $500, with a 7-day Starter trial and no card. Profound shows a free trial and "Custom". If you need a figure for a budget, Scrunch gives you one.
Engines
Profound lists nine on Enterprise, including Copilot, DeepSeek and Exa, which Scrunch's entry plan doesn't list. Scrunch includes seven on every plan, including Claude and Meta AI. For most Western consumer brands, the overlap covers what matters; check the specific engines your customers use.
What happens on your site
Both read AI agent traffic. Profound describes its Agent Analytics as CDN- or server-level and says it can separate real AI bots from spoofed ones. Scrunch includes agent traffic monitoring on every plan and goes one step further with Agent Pages: your CDN routes AI user agents to a separate, server-rendered version of your pages. That helps sites whose text only appears after JavaScript runs. It also means AI agents and people see different HTML, which you should keep in sync.
Doing the work
Profound's AI Marketer and Agents draft content and propose projects. Scrunch gives page audits, personas, insights and, from Growth, strategy reviews, and leaves execution to you. For a small team, Scrunch's model is easier to absorb; for a large content operation, Profound's agents may save real time.
Refresh
Profound tracks daily. Scrunch runs new prompts daily for 14 days, then every 72 hours by default, with an on-demand refresh.
The two reviews
We have no commercial relationship with Profound or Scrunch. We own cite-met, which also reads AI crawler traffic at the server for sites it hosts; it isn't part of this comparison and doesn't track prompts below its $700 plan.
Questions people ask
Is Scrunch cheaper than Profound?
Scrunch publishes its prices: $300 a month for Starter and $500 for Growth, or $250 and $417 billed annually. Profound publishes only a free trial and custom Enterprise pricing (checked November 2026), so a direct comparison needs a quote.
Do Profound and Scrunch both track AI crawlers?
Yes. Profound's Agent Analytics and Scrunch's agent traffic monitoring both show AI bot activity on your site, and both are included on every plan, including Profound's trial. Scrunch also offers Agent Pages, which serve AI agents a separate HTML version via your CDN.
