Scrunch gives the most coverage per dollar of any tool here, once you can afford the $300 floor. The entry plan tracks seven engines, including Claude and Meta AI, with 350 custom prompts and agent traffic monitoring built in, so it answers both "what does AI say about us?" and "which AI agents read our site?". It's a strong fit for multi-location and mid-size brands. For a single small business it's more tool than the job needs, and its default refresh is every 72 hours rather than daily.

What Scrunch does
Scrunch is a prompt tracker with a site-side layer. The tracking half works like the others: you define prompts (plus personas and key topics), Scrunch runs them on seven assistants, and reports mentions, citations, competitors and the sources behind each answer. Every plan includes a Prompt Manager, Insights, citation tracking, page audits, personas and integrations.
The site-side half is where it differs. Agent traffic monitoring shows AI crawler activity on your site, on every plan. And Agent Pages (part of what Scrunch announced as its Agent Experience Platform, AXP, in July 2025) can serve AI agents a cleaner version of your pages.
Scrunch raised a $15 million Series A led by Decibel in July 2025 and said then that more than 500 brands used it.
Pricing
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $300/mo | 350 custom + 1,000 industry prompts, 3 personas, 5 page audits, 3 seats |
| Growth | $500/mo | 700 custom + 2,500 industry prompts, 5 personas, 10 page audits, 5 seats |
| Enterprise | Custom | SAML SSO, Enterprise Data API, Slack support |
Annual billing is $250 and $417 a month (17% off). Extra seats are $25 a month each. Source: scrunch.com/pricing, checked Nov 1, 2026. Prices in USD.
The industry prompts are worth understanding: on top of your 350 custom prompts, Starter tracks 1,000 prompts Scrunch generates for your category, which gives a market baseline without you writing them. Seats are the constraint: three on Starter, five on Growth, $25 a month for each extra. Peec and Otterly include unlimited seats on every plan.
Per custom prompt, Starter works out to about $0.86 a month, less than half Otterly's or Peec's entry rate. That's the case for Scrunch: if you'd use 300+ prompts across several locations or product lines, it's good value. If you'd use 20, it isn't.

Agent Pages: useful, and worth understanding first
Scrunch's FAQ explains that your CDN "routes AI user agents to Agent Pages", which serve "clean, server-rendered HTML with no JavaScript dependency", while search crawlers aren't routed, so Google indexing is unaffected.
The problem it solves is real. Most AI crawlers don't run JavaScript, so a site that builds its text in the browser shows them an empty page. (Our platform comparison covers which builders have this problem.)
Two cautions before you switch it on. First, it means AI agents see different HTML from your visitors. Scrunch keeps search crawlers out of it, but you're now maintaining two versions of what your business says, and an assistant quoting the agent version should still match your real page. Second, if the reason you need it is that your site renders in the browser, fixing the site fixes it for every crawler at once. Agent Pages make most sense for large sites where a rebuild isn't on the table.
How it collects its data
- Engines at entry
- ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Meta AI
- Most engines available
- Same on every plan (Grok listed as coming in some FAQs)
- How it collects data
- A mix of browser automation and official APIs, chosen per platform. New prompts run daily for 14 days, then every 72 hours. Source
- Refresh
- Every 72 hours by default (daily for new prompts' first 14 days)
- AI crawler / agent data
- Agent traffic monitoring on every plan; Agent Pages can serve AI crawlers a separate HTML version via your CDN
- Seats
- 3 on Starter, 5 on Growth
- Trial
- 7-day Starter trial, no credit card
Scrunch says it uses "a combination of browser automation and official platform APIs", chosen per platform, and that results are captured in live platforms rather than "proxied or simulated at the model API level". That's a clearer statement than most, though less specific than Otterly's or Peec's about which engine uses which method.
The refresh schedule is the main trade-off. New prompts run daily for 14 days, then every 72 hours, with an on-demand refresh button. For trend tracking that's fine. If you want to see the day a change lands, the daily trackers are faster.
Strengths and weaknesses
Where it's strong
- Seven engines including Claude and Meta AI on the entry plan
- Agent traffic monitoring included, so you see both what AI says and who reads your site
- 350 custom prompts at entry is generous per dollar
Where it's weaker
- $300 a month is more than most single small businesses should spend on this
- Default refresh every 72 hours, not daily
- Agent Pages serve AI agents different HTML from people, which you should understand before switching it on
Who should pick something else
- Single-location small businesses. Otterly's $29 Lite or Peec's $95 Starter cover the prompts you need.
- Enterprise teams that want agents to do the work. Profound's AI Marketer drafts and proposes content. See Profound vs Scrunch.
- Teams that need many seats. Peec and Otterly don't cap seats; Scrunch charges $25 each past three or five.
Alternatives
- Otterly.AI$29/moA single business or consultant tracking its own name and a few competitors.
- Peec AI$95/moAgencies and in-house teams tracking a few brands or markets, who want daily data and a tidy UI.
- AthenaHQ$295/moBrands that need many engines, including Grok, DeepSeek and Mistral, and can budget by usage.
- ProfoundCustomLarge brands and enterprise marketing teams with budget and someone to act on the data.
- Ahrefs Brand Radar$199/moSEO teams and agencies on Ahrefs doing competitive and market research.
- Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit$99/moTeams already on Semrush who want AI visibility in the same reports.
- cite-met (ours)$60/moSmall businesses rebuilding or moving their site who want hosting and AI crawler data in one place.
We own cite-met, listed above. Like Scrunch's agent monitoring, it reads AI crawler traffic at the server, but only for sites it hosts, and it doesn't track prompts below its $700 Growth plan.
