Peec AI review: clear, well-documented prompt tracking for teams and agencies

Peec AI from $95/month: 50 daily prompts on any 3 of 6 engines, unlimited seats. Rubric score, sourced pricing, how it collects answers and who should skip it.

Our take

Peec AI is the tidy middle of the market: published prices, unlimited seats on every plan, and the clearest explanation of its method of any tool we compared. $95 a month buys 50 daily prompts on any three engines, which suits an agency or a growing brand. It also includes crawl insights and AI referral tracking on every plan. For a single small business it's three times Otterly's entry price for capacity you may not use.

What Peec AI does

Peec runs your prompts every day on the assistants you pick, then reports three things for your brand and each competitor: visibility (how often you're mentioned across answers, which Peec likens to market share), position (where you rank among the brands named when you do appear) and sentiment (whether the assistant describes you positively, neutrally or negatively). It also shows the sources each answer cited, so you can see which review sites, directories and articles the assistants lean on in your category.

Peec also has an "Agent analytics" layer on every plan: crawl insights (which AI bots hit which pages, how often, and the status code returned, up to 4.5 million bot visits a month on Starter), a crawlability audit of your robots.txt against more than 40 bots, and AI referral tracking.

Around that sit ranked "Actions" (opportunities sorted by expected impact), a Peec Agent that analyses the data, MCP access and a Google Analytics integration on every plan. Peec doesn't draft or publish content for you; Profound's comparison of the two makes the same point.

Peec is a Berlin company. It raised a $21 million Series A in November 2025, tech.eu reported.

Three things decide which tier you need. Prompts: 50, 150 or 350. Projects: 1, 2 or 5, which matters if you're an agency keeping clients apart. Countries: one on Starter, three from Pro. Everything else (unlimited seats, competitors and languages, daily tracking) is the same on every plan.

The three-model limit is the one to plan around. Starter's 4,500 monthly answers is exactly 50 prompts × 3 models × 30 days, so the allowance has no slack for a fourth engine. If you need Perplexity or Claude, note that Peec's pricing table lists both only under Enterprise.

Per prompt, Starter is about $1.90 a month, almost the same as Otterly's Lite. The difference is the floor: Otterly starts at 15 prompts for $29, Peec at 50 for $95.

Peec is explicit here, which is why it gets top marks on method. Its documentation says it uses "UI scraping technology", interacting with the web interfaces to capture what a logged-out user sees, and that the platform itself chooses the model and decides whether to search the web. It avoids APIs because their answers can differ from what users see.

That isn't a theoretical worry. When Surfer ran the same 1,000 prompts through apps and APIs in August 2026, the brands named overlapped by as little as 15.5%. A tracker that says how it collects answers, and collects them the way customers see them, deserves more trust than one that doesn't say.

What logged-out collection can't capture is personalisation. ChatGPT with memory, a signed-in Google account or a user's location can all change the answer. No tracker sees that, so treat every tool's numbers as a consistent baseline rather than what any one customer sees.

Strengths and weaknesses

Where it's strong

  • Clear documentation of what it measures (visibility, position, sentiment) and how
  • Unlimited seats and competitors on every plan
  • Pick the three engines that matter to you instead of paying for all
  • Crawl insights and AI referral tracking on every plan, so you see who reads your site too

Where it's weaker

  • Three models per plan: tracking more costs extra on every tier
  • $95 is over three times Otterly's entry price for a single business
  • Perplexity and Claude appear only on the custom Enterprise plan

Who should pick something else

  • You're one small business on a budget. Otterly's $29 Lite plan covers four engines for 15 prompts. See Otterly vs Peec AI for where the line falls.
  • You want an enterprise platform with agents that do the work. Profound's AI Marketer drafts content and proposes projects. See Profound vs Peec AI.
  • You need Perplexity or Claude tracked without an enterprise contract. Peec lists both only on Enterprise; Scrunch includes both on its $300 Starter plan.

Alternatives

  • Otterly.AI$29/moA single business or consultant tracking its own name and a few competitors.
  • Scrunch$300/moMulti-location and mid-size brands that want prompt tracking and agent analytics in one tool.
  • AthenaHQ$295/moBrands that need many engines, including Grok, DeepSeek and Mistral, and can budget by usage.
  • ProfoundCustomLarge brands and enterprise marketing teams with budget and someone to act on the data.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar$199/moSEO teams and agencies on Ahrefs doing competitive and market research.
  • Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit$99/moTeams already on Semrush who want AI visibility in the same reports.
  • cite-met (ours)$60/moSmall businesses rebuilding or moving their site who want hosting and AI crawler data in one place.

We publish Three Impact and own cite-met, which appears above. cite-met hosts websites and shows AI crawler activity from server logs; it doesn't track prompts the way Peec does below its $700 Growth plan, so it isn't a like-for-like alternative.

Questions people ask

How much does Peec AI cost?

Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts, Pro $245 for 150 and Advanced $495 for 350, each with three models of your choice (checked November 2026). Enterprise is custom. Peec's FAQ says annual billing is 15% off.

Which models does Peec AI track?

On Starter, Pro and Advanced you choose three from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Enterprise covers up to 13, including Perplexity, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek. Extra models can be added per model in the dashboard.

Does Peec AI use the ChatGPT API?

No. Peec's documentation says it uses UI scraping to capture what a logged-out user sees in the web interface, because API responses differ from what users get.
